Women in Science and Technology

Formerly, a program of the Office for Women's Affairs, the Women in Science and Technology initiative seeks to create a supportive and proactive learning and working environment in which women in science can thrive and succeed. The committee is made up of dedicated science and technology faculty, postdoctoral scholars and students and develops and implement programs that promote the participation of women in science, mathematics and technology at Indiana University. Our activities have included:

• The Women in Science Research Conference
• The Outstanding Women in Science Speaker Series
• Tours of science-related sites on campus
• Collecting & posting funding opportunities for women in science
• Awarding funds to departmental initiatives that provide travel grants and summer scholarships to women in science studying at IUB
